Abstract

Preanalytics is a very complex part of the laboratory process which involves professionals from different disciplines, including nursing. It has been known for many years that this period of the process is where the greatest number of errors are detected, errors that are potentially dangerous because they can compromise patient safety, and can also be burdensome for the health system. On the other hand, Primary Care is the healthcare segment that provides the largest number of samples to clinical laboratories, so their participation in the laboratory process is essential. In addition, it is necessary to know that the accreditation of Primary Care centers and Laboratories is an objective of health managers, who encourage the participation of these centers in the accreditation processes, so it also seems pertinent to know if there are differences between accredited and centers. not accredited. authorized. This report proposes several objectives aimed at increasing knowledge about this problem, in addition to analyzing the costs of a training intervention and offering, based on the results obtained, solutions that contribute to alleviating the problem.
