Abstract

Background The teaching model prevailing in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) has supposed a process of change methods and reorientation of training activities in Spanish universities, focusing on the center of the teaching-learning process the students, as well as their needs, activities and resources to perform them. Method In this new context, it has been carried out a research work it has focused on evaluation of student satisfaction through the realization of group work as teaching innovative methodology that allows them taking responsibilities and basic activities throughout the learning process, implementing and developing skills, attitudes and transversal competences. The methodology is based on qualitative analysis of the information obtained through surveys to students after the end finishing of group work. Results and conclusions The results obtained show that attendance at tutorials, a greater involvement with the completion of paper and a better perception of the relationship between the group work and the development of skills in the personal become the main factors that explain the student satisfaction.
