Resum

Quality of life, physical activity and pre-college students. Scientific researches related to physical, emotional and social well-being has offered humanity more precise approaches to modify behaviors and situations that diminish the certainty of the quality of life and the absence of disease in the last twenty years. The issue is sensitive and can be observed from any of the three dimensions biological, psychological or social perspectives; what WHO defines as well-being and quality of life, or combine some of the research lines among them. This thesis aims to understand the healthy and harmful lifestyles associated with family and social cohesion structure of pre-college youth students of the State of Colima who attend high schools subsidized by the State and the Federation, and likewise, offers a physical and mental diagnostic health state, as well as the prediction of these specific population epidemiological risk factors. The study describes the anthropometric measurements and blood pressure levels; the well-being and health state of the participants; the dietary habits and psychoactive substances of precollege youth; physical activity levels and body image perception. Our hypothesis emphasizes that the stable social structure and norm-functional family is associated with susceptibility active and healthy lifestyles in Colima´s young pre-college students. This view leads us to think that healthy lifestyles among teenagers are closely related to the positive perception of emotional well-being and correct habitual behaviors, derived from an ecological model. The research at a social level touches relevant points as a citizen mobilization for common social change and responsibility to promote healthy environments. At the individual level, takes qualitative and daily aspects of the people linked to their health. Therefore, to address the issue from the three perspectives that provides us a comprehensive dynamic approach of youth healthy body, motion and prospective. We can find from this approach elements and determinants to modify lifestyle that result in mostly healthy practices in this sector of the population.
