Résumé

The purpose of this research was to analyze the Content Didactic Knowledge construction process, in Physical Education teachers. Given that the function of teaching and the action of learning is a widely documented topic as well as discussed in the pedagogical literature, where the figure of the teacher emerges as the central axis of the issue. The research set as an objective to learn and understand the construction process and the sources of didactic content learning in Physical Education Teachers of the Maule region in Chile. The study employs a mixed research methodology, combining qualitative and quantitative methods, including the application of a questionnaire as well as carrying out semi-structured interviews. At a first moment, the research focused on creating and validating a questionnaire to value the Content Didactic Knowledge in the Physical Education field. The obtained results indicate that the elaborated items account for the constitutive elements of the disciplinary content and therefore the questionnaire is valid, reliable and feasible to apply. At a second moment, six interviews to Physical Education teachers from the Maule region in Chile, were carried out. A systematization matrix was elaborated that allowed the identification of the main research categories: commencing with the three previous ones belonging to the literature framework as Specific Content Knowledge, General Pedagogical Knowledge and Content Pedagogical Knowledge. The main conclusions of the research recognize the key issues of Content Didactic Knowledge in the Physical Education lesson.
