This thesis analyzes the role of Employment and Local Development Agencies (ELDA) in the management and promotion of local tourist activities and projects, determining the possible application of public relations models and information and communication techniques, as well as the know-how existing in this field. Within this context, Galicia appears as an emerging actor with a vast endogenous tourist potential, in particular in a number municipalities located in the province of A Coruña. The main objective of the research is to identify public relations models and techniques that Employment and Local Development Agencies currently apply to the process of managing and publicizing local tourist proposals. The results indicate the need for work based on public relations strategies that can improve the communicative impact.
