Abstract

Historical approach to the origin of Paleolithic societies care: a report from the work of Jean M. Auel To understand the current reality of nursing is necessary to know their roots. Hence the importance of reconstructing the origin and evolution of care in subsequent human societies Since ancient times, humans faced challenges: ensuring the continuity of the life of the group they belong to, and care for people unable to help themselves, such as children, the elderly and the sick and the patients who need help and care. As study material was chosen historical saga of Jean M. Auel: The Men and the Earth, to study care from the different areas that make up the human experience. In relation to the theoretical framework would highlight two: needs model Henderson, Virginia; and gender anthropology allows us to analyze the activity of women from an egalitarian perspective. The objective of this paper aims to demonstrate how care practice appears as a separate function, linked to the survival of a core group of Paleolithic and becomes a powerful coagulator social relations, falling this practice as group cohesion in women. For this we have developed a teaching and learning strategy "... to provide students with the aim to provide a better and deeper understanding of the information received." This application is intended as a general objective is the use of narrative literature in the study of any historical time. But we are not limited to the contribution drawn from the historical novel but we have explored, although briefly, other possible sources of learning such as iconography, newspaper articles, films and documentaries. All supported with related sciences such as anthropology, archeology, sociology and history, trying to offer students and teachers a number of resources that make learning richer and more versatile. In conclusion we can say that to understand the nature and the current paradigm of a science it is imperative to exhaust all the perspectives that give us knowledge. It is important that nurses know what our roots and their various evolutions throughout history. Thus we can say that "Nursing can emerge stronger after this test that aims to contribute to the social construction of our profession more positive."
