Abstract

A new method has been elaborated to determine the complete preferred crystallographic orientation in twinned aggregates of plagioclase by means of the use of a four-axes universal microscope slide. It is a program based on the angular relations, like a function of the anortite content, between the optical axes and the directions and crystallographic planes considered by Burri et al. (1997) in his two stereograms for the normal and parallel-complex twins law.
