Abstract
Intraspecific variability of EAG responses in Cerambyx welwnsii and Prinobius germari has been studied. There was a highly significant variability of responses between individuals into both species (0,92 mV ± 0,6 in C. Welensii, 0,28 mV ± 0,24 in P. Germari; to (E)-2-hexenal and turpentine (50% v/v) respectively). More than 68% of response variability in C. Welensii can be explained by the combination of experimental factors and the physiological state of insects. A group of volatile compounds was significantly perceived by both species (20 and 16 compounds respectively), most of them were monoterpenes and green leaf volatiles (GLV) from foliar emission.
