Resumo

The present Dissertation is the consequence of collecting the readings of manuscript and editorial witnesses pertinent for editing the eleventh book of Ovid's Metamorphoses. In relation to the manuscripts, the app. crit. shows the result of the complete coliatio of, at least, 70 codd. prior to the second half of the 13th century and partial of another nigh 50 witnesses, in respect to the editions, the readings of more than 50 texts can be attested, after the scrutiny of almost all of them. In addition, according to a criterion of exhaustiveness, every commentary and critical note have been valued from the first exegesis in the last decades of the 15th century. Following the information obtained, a broad commentary has been done from a diachronic and a synchronic approach. In conclusion, I propose 53 variations with regard to the last Oxford edition by R. J. Tarrant (2004).
