Resumo

This paper shows the main findings from the research carried out on the possibilities of development of the wine industrial tourism in the province of Huelva, taking as a pilot experience the locality of La Palm del Condado. In this article, besides of clearly betting in favour of the conformation of a product under the umbrella brand and quality requirements of the "Wine Routes of Spain", promoted by the Association of Spanish Wine Cities (ACEVIN) with the support of the State Tourism Administration, the insertion of this segment within the global positioning strategy of the province as tourist destination is justified. Its original contributions are in the empirical part of this research, offering unpublished primary data about the behavior and degree of satisfaction of the wine tourist (to be more specific, of those who visit the wine cellars located in La Palma del Condado), as well as of the attitude of the resident population in this municipality towards additional tourism development (mainly bound to the wine) and of the variables of perception able to determine it, like its economic, sociocultural and environmental impacts, both positive and negative. The contributions of a panel of experts have been also considered to feed the final recommendations.
