Abstract

An experimental method based in non-adiabatic comparative calorimetric method has been developed in order to measure the transmitted acoustic power into the aqueous phase by application of an ultrasound transducer. Two different acoustic sources have been evaluated by applying this method, and the obtained results have been compared with the classic calorimetric model. It has been found for a cleaning bath that the classic calorimetric method underestimate the acoustic power in at least 20 % due to no considering the thermal properties and thermal losses of the system.
