Abstract

The object of this research was to introduce web 2.0 as a didactic resource in university classrooms, to be a motivating element for students and, at the same time, to promote respect among students. The study addressed under an empirical approach being the quantitative design. The objectives of the research were answered as to analyze and determine the relationship between academic motivation and web 2.0. The sample was constituted by 403 students of the different degrees of the University of Huelva. The information was collected using a Likert scale with values from 1 to 7. In order to test the hypothesis, a 1x3 ANOVA was performed, and for this purpose the variable level of academic motivation was categorized into three groups. The hypotheses were rejected in a global way as they did not find statistically significant differences between the attitude towards the web 2.0 and the level of academic motivation. It was observed that the major differences are in the factors of impact and formation of the Web 2.0, whereas the minor differences are observed in the factors of use and formation of Web 2.0.
