Résumé
In this article some characteristics of the process of male professional development are studied. In this, the so called «Mística Masculina», or system of values that led to the notion of masculinity, as a consequence of the process of socialization, that has a direct influence on the studies and professional transitions of men. Following this analysis, the authors reflect on the relation ship between two very important roles in the human life: one from the field of employment/work, another from the care of home and family. Finally, the authors outline an argument concerning the necessity to adopt a gender persd pective in the field of orientation.
