Zusammenfassung
In this article, the author highlights the fundamental role of curricular materials in the educational process, although an inadequate use for a long time has resulted in a reject from those who looked for new school which made better the teaching-learning process for new generations. That is why he exposes the necessity of creating innovative materials fit to the present demands of society and the new educational system, in a commitment with an innovative renewal. Later, the author presents a closer took to a clarifying conceptualisation of what is understood and must be the new curricular materials, defining exactly the functions and the characteristics that they must have, and ending with the detailed exposition of a realist proposal where the indispensable elements and criteria for their design and elaboration are emphasised.
