Resum

Benthic foraminiferal faunal from the Lower Pliocene sands of El Rompido section (Huelva), are here studied. This allows us to increase the paleontological analysis of the area and to contribute to the knowledge of the paleoecology during that period in the western sector of the Guadalquivir Basin. Seventy six species are identified in this section, 10 of which are new in the region.
