Abstract

In this study, Andalusian Secondary Education teachers¿ necessities in dealing with their work as educators of teenagers are assessed. For this purpose, 178 Andalusian secondary teachers working in public schools and selected at random participated in this experience.The instrument we used was the Questionnaire on Teachers¿ Necessities (QTN ¿Sánchez, Menéndez, Hidalgo and López, 2003) which consists of 25 items.Teachers were supposed to answer them according to how much they agreed.The outcomes produced two-way possibilities: first, we have checked, on the one hand, that the QTN seems to collect information on four areas having to do with teachers¿ necessities; on the other hand, the length of their professional experience determines the necessities they have.The findings have to do with the validity of the QTN as an assessment instrument of teachers¿ necessities.
