La política turística como parte de la política económica

Resumo

In the present article considers, from a revision of scientific literature, the necessity to define, to delimit and to characterize the tourist policy like a part of whole economic policy. It becomes necessary by several reasons: first, the relative youth of the public administrations´ intervention; second, the lack of definition of the tourist sector; and finally, the shortage of scientific works on this matter. For these reasons Tourist Policy is considered as a science that is in the first stages of its development,a development that will be enriched with theoretical and empirical contributions. In this sense, the present article tries to contribute with a theoretical reflection about the characterization of the Tourist Policy based on a revision of specialized scientific literature in subjects such as: Economy Policy, Tourist Policy, Economic Theory of the Tourism and Theory of Clusters.
