Abstract

In this article we put forward an extract from research carried out in the autonomous community of Andalucía (Spain), concerning the use and implementation of ICT in the classroom within the framework of the so-called �ICT Centres�. The objective is to describe the most current impact of long-distance learning technologies in education, within the Andalucian autonomous region. Specifically, we present here results and valuing derived from an investigation project intended to create �ICT Centres� as a means of implementing Information and Communication Technology within Primary and Secondary education. An educational innovation that involves the whole teaching community, not only affecting the allocation of equipment, budget and staff in the centres, but also their organisation, teacher training actions, and naturally, the implications that arise in the teaching-learning process.
