Resum

The region of Andévalo is the largest one of those that makes up the province of Huelva. In the same way that in the mining area of Riotinto, the mining area of Tharsis is located in the Andévalo region, being both for a long time the main metallic mining areas in Spain. The metallic mining industry of the province of Huelva and its ancient history that dates back more than 5000 years is very well-known, that is the reason of its proposal to be declared as Asset of Cultural Interest in the category of historical place of this mining area to preserve the revenue from assets attributed to the branch attached to the mining factory Tharsis Sulphur & Copper Co. Ltd.
