Resumo

Background: The aim of the present study was to establish a consensus among experts on indicators that define secondary schools as promoters of healthy eating. Method: The Delphi technique has been used with three successive shipments through online questionnaires and table of contents via email. A total of 68 experts in nutrition and health promotion have participated. Results: Three main indicators for the promotion of healthy eating in secondary schools have been proposed and agreed: 1. Related to the school (the most important indicators are associated with the school plan, the curriculum and teacher training) 2. Related to the school cafeteria (food supply, healthy product placement and advertising) 3. Related to the community (community participation and training of other members of the learning environment and family). Conclusions: This material is the basis for the development of tools that allow us to make a diagnosis on the promotion of healthy eating for Secondary Schools.
