Résumé

The studied area is the territory of Ecija (Sevilla). This area have an arid climatology; according Thorwaite's classification. The hydrochemical control of the groundwater in September of 1998 shows that the hydrochemical characteristics are conditioned by the lithology and human activities. Groundwater condutivities are between 0,57-7,32 mS/cm and are meanly chlorideand sulphate types. Samples obtained in the vicinity of the river Genii and tips of solid urbanwaste show high concentrations of clorures (557-1583 mg/l), sodium (368-874 mg/l) andsulphates (525-1103 mg/l).
