Zusammenfassung
This article shows the status of the Community Television during the process of deployment of digital television in Chile. Based on an analysis of public documents available on the web and governmental institutions, we pose a vision of the concession granting policy currently under development and the delivery of two specific development funds given. It also points out that without other state support policies, community TV cannot survive. As a conclusion, it is suggested that only through the articulation of the policies analyzed and a legal change of the media system as a whole, the sustainability of these media that favor citizen participation, diversity and pluralism can be guaranteed
