Zusammenfassung

"Filón Norte" and "San Guillermo" are two great massive sulphide deposits located in the Iberian Pyrite Belt (Southportuguese Zone). Their present-day geometry and structural position is strongly controlled by Variscan tectonic processes. These processes resulted in the development of southvergent thrust systems. As a consequence two main brittle shear zones have been generated inside "Filón Norte" open pit. These shear zones are named ZCS and ZCN. Shear planes of the former show cut-relations to top of the "San Guillermo" deposits and other minor shears cut-crossed the two sulphide bodies so generating pinch and swell mega-structures.
