Résumé

The aim of this project is to evaluate the need to include ICT in elementary schools and use technology to provide a personalized education, tailored to the preferences and needs of each individual. Additionally, we want to understand if teaching approaches should take into account different learning styles (EA) and learning strengths (multiple intelligences) (IM). In order to examine these questions, we designed and produced a new interactive online multimedia resource. In the following pages, we analyze its usefulness as an educational tool and produce a series of recommendations for the design and use of resources of this type in schools. The general objective of this doctoral thesis is to analyze the possibility of improving the teaching and learning process with the support of an interactive online multimedia resource (mine-ducation). that takes into account various strengths and learning styles of the students. We hope to determine how best to design the resource moving forward so that it will be most useful in the classroom as well as how it can be leveraged most effectively. Our approach is detailed in the Methodology section below. This research consists of two studies. The first study, a qualitative analysis, has been carried out validating the design of mine-ducation with experts from a didactic, functional, esthetic-design and technical perspective. A non-experimental method, the expert judgment technique, is used. Data is collected through semi-structured individual interviews, and we approach our analysis systematically, sequentially and in an organized manner. The processes are recommended using the constant comparative method (MCC) in order to have open, axial and selective codification. The second study consists of implementing the course in elementary school environments. Two successive pilot tests were carried out in two different elementary schools in argentina. In each pilot, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders between 9 and 12 years old took a course on «Responsible Use of the Internet and Social Networks» using «mine-ducation». The experiments were successive and improvements were made to the second test based on the successes and shortcomings of the first The researcher directly observed and took photographs in the classroom for pilot test l. The students' teacher took notes for pilot test 2. In both pilots, students received a questionnaire with questions designed to gauge how they perceived «mine-ducation». The qualitative data (observations and photographs from pilot test 1) was processed with assistance from ATLAS.ti software (version 7.5.7). Questionnaire responses were processed using a spreadsheet application and the Spanish version of the statistical program SPSS (version .22). The results/conclusions report is constructed according to the objectives set, namely, to design and produce the educational resource "mine-ducation"; evaluate the design of «mine-ducation» from a pedagogical, functional, aesthetic-design and technical perspective according to the opinion of the experts; implement the resource, analyze and evaluate the virtualities of the educational resource to be used in natural contexts of primary education from a pedagogical, functional and technical perspective and finally determine a series of principies for the design and use of this type of resources in centers of elementary school.
