Abstract
The border area of Huelva is formed by 11 municipalities which in its north-south line involve the major geo-environmental units of the province of Huelva. It is a territory with a primary economy, low population and weak territorial articulation These factors, together with a history of tension and violente, have reinforced the. peripheral and marginal border of these areas compared to for example the nearby coastal arcas. On the other hand, the area itself has great varieties, with significant differences from most border corridor municipalities with respect to its vertex coast: the municipality of Ayamonte. Neither it is homogeneous in terms of supply and tourism resources. This imbalance responds to the existente of two models of tourism, let's call them: the sun and beach, centered in Ayamonte, and rural and inland, for the rest of the border area. However, this last territory is trying to assert its natural and cultural heritage as tourism resources and turn them into tourist products, relying also on improving the accessibility of the border. Therefore, the aim of this contribution is to describe and analyze the geographical natural and cultural resources, obtaining a series of proposals and conclusións.
