Resumo

Internet of Things (IoT) technology can bring great benefits to companies in the hotel sector, saving time and money by making their business more profitable, as well as helping them to obtain information about of their current and potential clients, thus being able to focus the business towards customer satisfaction. The present work aims to know which are the factors that have a greater impact on companies in the hotel sector when adopting IoT in their establishments. To achieve this objective, the Delphi method has been used, with which those factors that influence hotels when implementing IoT technology have been extracted, and on the other hand, fuzzy cognitive maps, to establish the possible relationships and the degree of influence between these factors, and determine the most influential factors. The results of the study indicate that there are factors such as the perceived reliability of the technology, the relative advantage or the support of senior management, which are critical when deciding on the adoption of Iot, since they serve to predict the adoption of this technology, while others such as complexity, company size or perceived cost, do not exert as much influence on the intention of adoption.
