Résumé

Fibromyalgia is a disease whose symptoms cause alterations in the motor pattern and low levels of physical fitness, which leads to great difficulty in performing activities of daily living. The assessment of both elements is very important in the management of its treatments. Specifically in conditions that combine motor and cognitive performance simultaneously: dual tasks. In addition, virtual reality-based physical activity programmes, "Exergames", increase adherence to them in order to combat the high levels of sedentary lifestyles in this population. The aims of this thesis were to increase knowledge on motor pattern analysis under single and dual conditions; and to test the effects of our Exergames programme on physical fitness and motor pattern in women with fibromyalgia. The most important results were: a) good results in the reliability analysis of the 30--seconds chair stand test taking into account the duration of the movement phases; b) women with fibromyalgia show an altered motor pattern during gait, which may lead to a decrease in the ability to perform activities of daily living; c) dual tasks worsen performance and alter motor pattern; d) our intervention programme produced improvements in fitness and motor pattern under single and dual conditions in women with fibromyalgia, which contributes to improve their functional capacity and quality of life.
