Abstract

One of the main purposes of the Real Madrid Foundation Social Sport Basketball Schools has been, since its inception, the search for a differ-ent sport model where the promotion of educational values is the true backbone of the project. To do this, we are carrying out various training activities aimed at teachers, families and students participating in our sports schools. Currently, to evaluate different aspects of the process of socialization of students, we have used the "GR-SIPPEL" scale (Ruiz, Graupera, Moreno and Rico, 2010). This scale assesses the following di-mensions: cooperation, competition, individualism and affiliation. In this sense, the main purpose of the pre-sent work was to describe the differ-ent social interaction preferences of boys and girls of U14 and U16 cate-gories (12-16 years) involved in the Real Madrid Foundation Social Sport Basketball Schools. A descriptive analysis of each of the dimensions was performed, ratio analysis using contingency tables, using the statistical X2, in relation to gender and practice time in schools. It was calculated the V Cramer and residuals corrected. Also it conduct-ed a correlation analysis between dimensions. The results show that the dimension most valued by young people is cooperation, also it detect-ed that girls tend to be more affilia-tive than boys. In addition, young people who tend to be more coopera-tive also tend to be more affiliative, while individualists tend to be more competitive.
