Abstract
The European Union is one of the main promoters of the implementation of the Paris Agreement. The European Union carries out extensive regulatory activity in the internal sphere, while at the same time developing an intense foreign diplomatic and negotiating activity. The treatment of external climate action in the work of the European Council shows the main approaches adopted in the European external agenda for the fulfilment of the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
