Abstract

Biomass and nutrient cycle is fundamental for forest management. It research litterfall during an annual cycle in two extreme and comun holm oak (Quercus rotundifolia Lam.) and cork oak (Quercus suber L.) forest. It compare litterfall in different maturity forest, it study potential net primary productivity (PNPP), reproductive effort, harvest index, harvest increment and harvest sustainability. These indices are worthy of notice for “dehesa” forest management. It propose introduction of these variables in forest management inventory.
