Zusammenfassung
The following work attempts to present a synthesis of the main aqueducts of the eastern provinces of the Empire with the aim of locating the aqueduct of Onoba Aestuaria in the abovementioned context, paying especial attention to the features of the process of its building and of the system of water collection. This lead s us to prove that this work of water engineering, probably built in the mid of the first century d.C., responds to well defined models of the Roman engineering in relation to the collection and distribution of water through the technique of culltelatio and the system of infiltration galleries. Therefore, the building model from Onoba is pointed out in this work as a unique instance among a wide amount of documented constructions of this kind in the hispanic provinces in particular and in the eastern Roman regions in general.
