Abstract
Trifolium sect. Vesicastrum species living in the Iberian Peninsula are revised from the taxonomic, karyological and reproductive points of view. In this area 5 species are recognized, a key for their identification is established, and a description, peninsular distribution, ecology and phenology are given. In four species the chromosomic number and the chromosomic size and morphology are studied. In these species the P/O ratios are given, and in T. tomentosum the breeding system is studied.
