Zusammenfassung
This article, which is an introduction to the special issue of the journal enclave Pedagogica (no 13), outlines the main research made in the field of intercultural education. it aims to meet the challenges of an era marked by the complexity of social and educational situations. The contributions included in this volume are very diverse and range from the more general theoretical reflections settled into a long career in research, to the presentation of more specific studies which are still under development. By reading carefully these nine articles, including this one, that form this section, we can have a perspective on the answers that can be given to the challenges of intercultural education in what research and educational practice is concerned.
