This dissertation aims to describe the chronological and socio-cultural context from Steven Spielberg filmmaking films. Furthermore this research analyzes the identities of the main characters about their sexuality from a perspective of the hero just up to the last work: The Adventures of Tintin. The Secret of the Unicorn (2011). The films will be compared on its box office success to draw certain conclusions about how the director outlines the characters, which sex predominates, which characters have succeeded more at the box office and what gender pattern shows the director in his work led.
