Abstract

We aim to put a spoke in the spiralling tendencies of our societies to compete in saving on labour costs. As most of us are both workers and consumers, it follows that corporate social responsibility must take the workers themselves into account. Today, strict compliance with standards is not synonymous with labour quality. And in these times of deregulation, there are some producers and businessmen, whose policy is not to reduce costs at any price. These organizations should find mechanisms of differentiation, and highlight the fact that their products or services, are offered in quality working conditions. Projects like the Spin-off Industrial Relations Quality. Garantía Laboral, S.L. at the University of Huelva, composed of professors of Labor Law, are looking for the promotion and certification of quality in labor relations.
