Abstract
In 1570 Felipe II ordered the publication of an Index of Prohibited Books in Antwerpen. In the following year it was reedited by Benito Arias Montano with remarkable differences. With the desire of finding common points between German culture and this humanist, in this article we will rescue from both indexes the common names of authors related to the current German-speaking countries. Knowing these authors will make us able to know which german humanists Benito Arias Montano knew.
