Abstract
This paper aims to review the purposes of journalism set in 2003 by Kovach and Rosenstiel in “The Elements of Journalism” to observe their accommodation in the digital age. Its interest is that it believes that the new novel digital communication is causing changes in the profession, most notably how journalism is exercised, affecting both the how and the who. There are also changes to how the journalistic product is offered and how it affects the concept of journalist amid a rapid evolution in the midst of a crisis.
