Abstract

. Objectives: To construct the conceptual bases that guides Health Education. 2. Methodology: Theoretical-descriptive research: review and text analysis written on the subject. The development of this investigation has followed two main criteria: to use a perspective of integral analysis and to apply a progressive approach that goes from a general perspective to a more concrete one. 3. Conclusions: The health education at the school has won greater relevance, nevertheless, still keeps numerous challenges. Some of them have been detected in this study. The main conclusions that we have obtained are the following ones: the teachers previous education is necessary; the training centres provide an ideal scenario for Health education; the European Network of Health Promotional Schools could be a useful vehicle for the application of effective programs of health in the future; the motivation and implication of the pupils and the participation of the families are criteria that allow the profit of the health promotion
