Abstract

Birth and death are the most important events for human beings in his biography. They both ussually remind us of our patients. Everybody has a right to live these events according to their scale of values, culture and character, but this is only possible if we ask our patients. When you ask someone, you are making them feel important, not invisible, who is needing our care. When you ignore them, we are neglecting human beings who are overwhelmed and in pain, so we are forgetting that the other is also capable, just like me. This article tells us about a woman´s experience with labour pains who gave birth without anyone realizing that she was there, she wanted take part in her son´s birth, and nobody asked her about how she wanted to do that. Nobody ask her anything. Her emotions and experiences about this are the core of this article.
