Abstract

After the exhaustion of the Millennium Development Goals and, in the absence of full achievement of them, the Sustainable Development Goals were proposed to continue working on development and achieve, expanding strategies or modifying them, said goals. In the experience in higher education presented here, we focuson narrating the scope of an approach that was made in several subjects of the Degree in Social Education atthe University of Huelva in the field of the MDGs, first and foremost, and of the SDG, second. To do this, westarted from the objective: to make known good pedagogical practices in the classroom, which have made itpossible to improve student learning thanks to the development of projects, at the same time, that they havecontributed to disseminating the SDGs and making students more aware of the importance that they have. Toexplain this experience, we describe some active methodologies, delving into the one that has been used themost: project work. To illustrate the process, some work proposals are shown through the projects carried outin these subjects, deepening into the objectives set out and the methodology. Finally, the results obtained bythe students are mentioned to conclude with a brief analysis of the methodological process carried out, theresults and the conclusions.
