Abstract
This paper presents the analysis of metallurgical materials from the El Tesoro settlement (Marchamalo, Guadalajara). These materials reveal that on this site there was an important production of iron, of which the plano-convex slags from forge refining are the best reflection. This iron work is related to the nearby mineral deposits of the Iberian System and the existence of an important communication route of which the site was a mansio that has been identified with Arriaca.
