Abstract

The breadth of studies on media, digital and transmedia competence have generated extensive disagreementsat the international level. Given the lack of a consensus on dimensions and indicators at present, this paperattempts to propose an updated compendium of (trans)media competencies from an expert perspective. Tothis end, a systematic review was carried out in Web of Science and Scopus, and the Delphi method wasapplied in two phases to map the perceptions of seven experts in the field. The results offer an up-to-dateitinerary of eight dimensions and 43 indicators related to aesthetics, participation and interaction, languages, technology, risk and individual management, performance, simulation and games, creation, appropriation anddissemination of content, and critical attitude, ideology and citizenship.
