Resumo

The present study aims to analyze the #stopscholarshipprank movement, which emerged in TikTok againstthe viral trend #scholarshipprank, #scholarshipchallenge or #deafmutechallenge. It was carried out using aqualitative research methodology with a descriptive approach. Using Atlas.ti, the first six videos in the “Popular” section were analyzed by searching for the hashtag #stopscholarshipprank, in order to determine thepredominant perceptions of their creators with respect to the trend. The results show a common vision ofrejection and criticism towards jokes, with messages with a formative and social awareness approach, andthat there are factors that influence the lexicon and the use of humor.
