The behavior of the variables of production and trade is measured by rates of growth and competitiveness with thecompetitiveness indices. The growth rate is the result of a relationship that reflects the movements of a particular value ina period of time, which can be positive or negative, reflecting expansion or reduction of the variable. Competitivenessindices are results of relationships between different variables of production and trade, which can be positive or negative, reflecting competitive advantage or disadvantage. Growth rates and indexes allow the characterization of the behavior ofthe variables of production and trade and the competitiveness of the mango in Mexico.
