With the advent of democracy in Spain and the establishment of the "state of autonomies", its begins a process ofpolitical and economicremittransfers, among others, aboutCulture and Cultural Heritage. The incipient Ministry ofCulture of the Junta de Andalucía, created in 1984, incorporates a Directorate General of Cultural Assetsintoorganizational structure, and began a vertiginous activity in support of Andalusian historical heritage: In creating amanagement structure, the approving a specific heritage law, and with budgetary allocations destined to work ofsafeguarding and protecting, among other actions.Since the beginning, come up a typology of heritage until then unknown, the ethnological heritage. Actions are alsotaken to energize this heritage typology with economic investment for research: to subsidize ethnological activities,to finance publications, to pay for ethnology symposia, etc. In this paper, we analyze the ethnological activitiesdeveloped and their financing, and we consider to what extent this investment has resulted in a greater -and bettermanagement of the ethnological heritage.
