Abstract

In this paper we reflect on the importance ofthe Atlantic route in the maintenance ofthe Roman trade ircuits during the late antiquity period. To do so, we Will rely on the dispersion along the Peninsular tlantic coast, taking as extreme references the Huelva area and the Galician coast, oftableware records f African origin —Terra Sigillata Africana (ARSW)- and oriental —Terra Sigillata Focense (LRCW)-. s Will allow us to argue the continuity ofthe long-range commercial activity for already late moents and in particular, the promotion of an Atlantic circuit which is becoming increasingly significant research on commercial activity in the Roman world, traditionally limited to the Mediterranean area.
