Abstract
In this chapter we will address educative evaluation. This is a key element in schools' improvement, since it offers us information to analyze, understand and make decisions regarding the changes that must be introduced in the schools, classrooms, teaching staff, students, relations with families and environments. For this reason, we Will collect some of the key concepts regarding evaluation processes: definition, typologies, available tools, and examples at different levels. Our main goal is to make good syllabuses which respond students' and contexts' needs and demands. We understand evaluation as a tool that may be at the service of schools.
