Abstract

In this article we tried to analyze in a post-rationalist perspective the [new] G-20 thought about the global governance. For this we have questioned the convenience of his noun, enacted his identity form the semiotic analysis of the summit family photos, and enacted his cognitive map form the summits communiques. We concluded that the [new] G-20 wants to drive the regulation of world economic system from the public sphere to promote a balanced, sustainable, strong and global economic growth; but he ignores the business and civil faces of global governance. His major targets are to prevent a new economic global crisis and to generate economic growth; both are the most important concerns of the prosperous countries. His second targets are the development (concerning to the less prosperous countries) and the environmental issues. We observed this agent has abandon Neo-Liberalism as first ideological referent and he is opened to political approaches from other ideologies (Keynesianism, “Sustainabilism”…).
