Abstract

This Doctoral Thesis articulated as a case study analysing the museum in all its aspects on the basis of communication theory. This work is structured in three blocks. The first block is focused on background and theoretical foundation, the result of years of works into Heritage Education from different perspectives; the second approaches the research methodology, establishing a methodological grounding while presenting the research design, along with a series of specific information-gathering and analytical instruments for the work developed here. Setting out from a system of categories with progression hypotheses, the concepts of heritage and patrimonial education in the museum are discussed, and the process of communication between this institution and users; finally, the thtrd block ts where we analyse the data obtamed along wlth the development of the research report.
