Abstract
Along the last fifteen years, some of the knowledge areas which were born after the promulgation of the L.R.U. have experienced a vertiginous advance. In particular, several specific didactic disciplines, whose beginnings had been situated between the discipline of reference and, basically, Psychology and Pedagogy, have already acquired a coherent knowledge corpus. This article begins with a brief review of the several works which denounce the deficiencies that the different individuals studied (teachers of Primary Education and students of teaching) have with regard to mathematics in Primary schools. Later, some reasons for these deficiencies are explained and the article ends with a training proposal suitable for the situation.
